Make a Difference, One Hour at a Time! 

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in your community? At the Recycling Center, we welcome dedicated individuals like you to join our team of volunteers. Your time and talents can help us transform lives, support local programs, and promote sustainability. Volunteer for a few hours per year or regular weekly hours as you see fit. We also provide an opportunity to earn community service hours if you have that particular need.

The Mobile County Recycling Center engages volunteers in the following areas:

  • Assisting users as they drop off items
  • Sorting recyclables
  • Landscaping
  • General cleaning and maintenance

Volunteers must be ages 11 and up and must be accompanied by a chaperone if they’re under 16. If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please call the Mobile County Recycling Center at (251) 459-8426. Groups must call ahead to schedule.
