Monthly Volunteer Clean up Days

The Mobile County Recycling Center has always accepted volunteers during its hours of operation and now the facility is happy to announce the creation of monthly volunteer days to facilitate the coordination of a concentrated effort aimed at cleaning up the grounds and the warehouse. This event is a result of the partnership between Goodwill Easterseals (the operator of the facility) and Keep Mobile Beautiful.

This monthly volunteer clean up day falls on the third Saturday of every month from 9:00 to 11:00. First time volunteer registration will take place at 8:45 – during this time new volunteers will need to fill out a volunteer application and liability waiver. Volunteers must over 11 years old, and those under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a chaperone.

Volunteers will be tasked with landscaping, picking up litter, washing out bins, painting, sorting materials, cleaning up the office area, and other tasks as needed.

The Mobile County Recycling Center relies on its community and wouldn’t be able to operate without the contributions made by volunteers. Thank you for your continued support!
