Battery Collection Comes to a Close

The Mobile County Recycling Center is no longer able to accept batteries for recycling. The facility has been collecting and recycling alkaline and non alkaline batteries since it opened its doors in November 2014 thanks to a vendor that was accepting them at no cost. This vendor is no longer able to provide this service and, since there is no longer an outlet for this material, we have to stop the collection.

This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t continue to recycle batteries! There are businesses in Mobile that are currently accept them residents. Here is a list of businesses and what they currently accept:
